Improving Child Welfare’s Performance through Continuous Quality Improvement
STEP is a Data Leaders Initiative that strengthens Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) within a child welfare system, increasing its capacity to reach positive outcomes for children and families. STEP provides agencies the support needed in all phases of improving performance: readiness for change, capacity-building, prioritization of challenges and data-driven problem-solving.
The STEP process increases participants' knowledge, skills and sense of empowerment. Review the evaluation of STEP by the Butler Institute for Families, University of Denver. Download
